Dear RSI Client,
Something
every owner, property manager or management company should be
aware of is a scam recently reported in
Arizona
. The Mesa Police
Department is currently investigating what appears to be a
scam involving a notice delivered to residents at a large
apartment community.
The
notice begins: "This property has been recently
sold," and states that rent payments, in the form of a
cashier's check or money order only, are to be sent to the new
"owner" at a
California
address. The property in question has not been sold, is not up
for sale, and there is no new management company.
Police
and the local apartment association advised all management
companies and communities to be alert for similar notices,
allegedly sent by:
AMJ
Properties, LLC.
6245 Bristol Parkway, #266
Culver City
,
CA
90230
